The party season is about to start...well at least the shops are displaying Christmas and party stuff .
With the festive season come the parties, and whether it's a family party, a dinner party with friends, an office or company party and so on, we all be sparing more than a few thoughts on what to wear.
With an eaye on the wallet and the other on the trends here there are some party options for you: from sequins to glitters, from lace to shiny fabrics, it's all about texture, sparkle and elegance!
Styling tips:
- Decide if the focus of the outfit is the dress or not and accessorise it accordingly.
If the dress is simple, treat it as a white canvas and give it a character with shoes and earrings.
-Shoes: choose shoes that elongate your figure; high heel or platforms, in a nude colour or a colour that matches your stockings if you are wearing some.
-Earrings: taken for granted that you are kind of wearing your hair up, earrings are a great tool to give light to your face and enhance your make up.
Choose earring that have studs, glitters, pearls and a touch long so to frame your face.

Getting Spooky
Edited by Taylor Davies
As style bloggers, we relish the daily task of getting dressed. It's kind of our thing, right? Once a year though, everybody gets in on the fun - and then takes it to a whole other level. Of course I'm talking about Halloween. That crazy holiday that causes adults to act like children and children to dress up like adults. As a 20-something, Halloween can be a far cry from the trick-or-treating days of our youth - but one element will always stay with me: we get to pretend to be someone else. Instead of dressing to best express who we really are, we get to dress to appear to be someone completely different.
This week's Links a la Mode features posts from our community about amazing Halloween costumes and inspiration, DIY projects and even a little life lesson or five from The Nanny named Fran.
