AltaRoma - Gennaio 2012 - Silvina Maestro

As you know I'll be flying back to Rome in three weeks to attend AltaRoma 2012 featuring SS12 collection plus other events and RTW presentations.

Among the guest designers there is Silvina Maestro that I have begun researching and reading about when I first saw her name on the programme.

She's graduated at Central St.Martins and presented her first collection 'Alba Lux' for AW10.

She worked for Riccardo Tisci at Givenchy designing all the RTW jersey pieces [...] and for Nicholas Kirkwood, Emilio de la Morena, Boudicca and Alexander McQueen.

(Obviously Style Bubble reviewed the collection nearly 2 year ago ;-) )

Come sapete volero a Roma tra tre settimane per i giorni di AltaRoma 2012 per le collezioni SS12 piu' altri eventi e presentazioni RTW 12/13. Tra i guest designers ci sara' Silvina Maestro che ho inziato a 'studiarmi' non appena letto il suo nome nel programma.

Laureata alla Central St.Martin ha presentato la sua prima collezione 'Alba Lux' AW10.

Ha anche lavorato 'per Riccardo Tisci da Givenchy disegnando i capi in jersey della RTW [...] e per Nicholas Kirkwood, Emilio de la Morena, Boudicca e Alexander McQueen.'

( Ovviamente Style Bubble ha recensito la sua collezione quasi due anni fa :-) )

Alba Lux AW10

She's clearly attracted to the contrast between light and darkness as it very clear both from the collection titles and the designs themselves:

Alba Lux , Primordial Light and the special project for Rome 'The Brevity of Light'.

You can admire Silvina Maestro's refined take on black and white, light and darkness, round shapes and delicate ruffles to mean the infinity of the universe.

Silvina Maestro e' chiaramente attratta dal contrasto tra luce e buio ed si vede sia dai titoli delle collezioni che dai capi stessi:

Alba Lux, Primordial Light e il progetto per Roma 'The Brevity of Light'.

Potete ammirare nuovamente il raffinato gioco di chiaro-scuro, bianco e nero, di forme tonde e pieghe accennate ad indicare l'infinita' dell'universo.
