It's 'only' day 3 of LFW AW12 and the collections are good, fun and creative. London never disappoints.
I was quite disappointed though with the ones in New York because the designers played it very safe, wasy too safe and produce good collections, quite good commercially but lacking in creative unput and innovation.
To my eyes only Marc Jacobs stood out with a collection that played with silhouettes, fabrics and layers.
What is going on in London insted it's really good, a great mixture of new designs and ideas well balanced with the commercial side of it. Plus I already see some of the looks going from the runways straight into the magazine editorials and setting trend on the strees as well.
- Zoomed-in/ coloured hounds tooth.
- Mix and match and clash of prints.
- Jumpsuits in parsley and '70 style prints.
- Silk scarf-like prints.
- Chinced waists and fur accessories.
