Being London, you wouldn't be surprised by a rainy day. But rainy it was not infact, yesterday.
Being Burberry, you would expect rain on the catwalk. But there wasn't rain on the catwalk infact.
As Cara Delevigne closed the show and disappeared backstage, the music faded, sound of a storm and thunders and the audience tought that rain was going to come down IN the tent.
Then it started raining OUTSIDE the huge transparent tent in Hyde Park and the models did their final walkthrough with the Burberry umbrellas while squares of tin foil came down the tent.
The Burberry Prorsum Collection went from life-in the-countryside looks to military-femminine looks and it's the twin sister of the Burberry for man seen in Milan, similar trenchcoats and wood animals (owls, puppies, birdes and foxes on jumpers).
The military look but with a sharper edge was in the Topshop Unique shoow too.
Military outerwear balanced by shorts and high/ankle boots.
And then Lana Del Rey! Not the real one, she was at Mulberry, and her bag too but the models hair at Michael Van Der Ham show made me think, in a split second, about her.
The collection, infact was ispied by the Hollywood glamour of the '30, and the party dress and the separates conjured up the image of a cinema diva on and off duty.
