Negative impressions at Marni at H&M.

After the defeat of a couple of days ago of not being able to see the Marni at H&M collection in full or even see the men's collection, finally yesterday I did. Went to two H&Ms in London - Oxford Circus and Oxford Street - and had a clear view and perception of how the graments were like and what was left...quite a lot!

Most of what was left in the women departement were these mixed cotton and patent leather jumpers and jackets. There so many letf on the racks that it was quite clear that they are the garments that people didnt like and because of the huge patent leather panels the fit was quite bad - I saw a couple of people trying those on and they were incredibly boxy and stiff.

Dopo la sconfitta di un paio di giorni fa, non avedo potuto vedere la collezione Marni at H&M al completo o non vedere affatto quella uomo, finalmente ieri ce l'ho fatta. Sono stato a ben due H&M - Oxfrd Circus e Oxford Street - e ho avuto una panoramica completa della qaulita' dei capi e di cosa fosse rimasto...un sacco di roba! La maggior parte di capi nel reparto donna erano questo maglione e giacca misto cotone e pelle verniciata. Ce n'erano ancora cosi' tanti appesi da essere chiaro che sono stati i meno graditi dai clienti visto che l'abbondante pannelleo di pelle verniciata rende i capi poco vestibili - ho visto un paio di persone provare giacca o maglione e addosso risultavano come scatoloni e rigidi.

More disappointement was to come though as I got to the men's departement with the though of buying something, maybe even just an accessory, but I was quite put off it.

Again, lot of graments left on the racks - shirts, shorts, suits, trenches, jumpers, waistcoats and so on.

To a close inspection the purple/navy printed blue shirt that I liked, through the computer screen, was too quirky and kitch to be liked enough to be worn and then I touched it!

The fabric was stiff and waxy, unpleasant to touch that I didn't want to wear it all. I took the time to check the fabric compostion, cool cotton, that I found out ,with a quick Google and Wikipedia research, it's a mix of cotton and CottonMax, a polyester fibre. I'm not against polyester but I'd rather have either 100%c cotton or 100% polyester, rather than a mix of the two that it may well work for sport garments but not for 'fashion' items.

Una delusione maggiore mi attendeva pero' al reparto uomo dove sono andato con l'idea di comprare qualcosa, anche solo un accessorio, ma ne sono stato dissuaso.

Di uovo, molti capi rimasti appesi - camicie, short, completi, maglioni, gilet e cosi' via. Ad una ispezione ravvicinata la camicia a stampa viola/blue navy che mi era piaciuta sullo schermo del computer, era troppo kitch e alternativa per farmela piacere abbastanza ed indossarla e poi quando l'ho toccata!

Il tessuto era rigido e cerato, non piacevole al tatto ficuriamoci a sentirselo addosso. o controllato la composizione del tessuto sull'etichetta, cotton cool, che ho scoperto, con una veloce ricerca su Google e Wikipedia, e' un mix di cotton e CottonMax, una fibra di poliestere. on sono contrario al poliestere ma preferisco avere un capo che sia o 100% cotone o 100% sintetico, piuttosto che un mix dei due che funziona per l'abbigliamento sportibo ma non per capi 'fashion'.

Even the accessories, a cap and knitted tie, were not accessible, I mean pricey - £9.99and £19.99!

So even if iIcould have I didn't buy anything from the collection. I'd rather have bought several other items that were in store and that are H&M designed and conceived but I didn't as well as i was late for the David Hockney exhibition which was FANTASTIC!!

Anche gli accessori, un cappello e una cravatta a maglia, erano inaccessibile, volgio dire dai prezzi spropositati - £9.99 e £19.99! Quindi, anche avendo potuto avere la possibilita' di comprare non l'ho fatto. Avrei preferito comprare altre cose che c'erano nel negozio, disegnate e pensate dal team di H&M, ma non ho fatto nenache quello perche' ero in ritrado per la mostra di David Hockney che e' stata MERAVIGLIOSA!!!
