In the past four weeks I've been involved, but by bit step by step in the creation and the launch of Make and Believe Magazine. A brand new online magazine that explores culture, fashion and vintage across the UK. This new project is the brainchild of Danielle Christina Timms, a dear friend and the designer of her own label Daniella Christina. The label's name is quite familiar to this blog as she's part of the Designer's Profile Project that I set up at the beginning of the year and I used her retro, feminine designs for my styling work.
But back to the birth and the upcoming launch of the magazine - Yes! We're launching with an event on the 25th! At first I was asked to be the fashion editor of Make and Believe :-) and I accepted it immediately...then after a week or so Danielle had the idea of a launch event that included a fashion show and live music and things got more...challenging. So, for the fashion part of the event, we have put together an incredible group of three talented designers and labels for the fashion show that will showcase their SS 13 collection: Daniella Christina, Masato London and Tramp Boutique.

You all know the three of them, either from this blog, or because you know the Brighton fashion scene. I've already told you about my link with Daniella Christina; Masato London is a label that I've been following for two years now and had the pleasure of seeing on the catwalk last June during Brighton Fashion Week and that you can now find stocked at chicboutiqueco in Hove Tramp Boutique too has been under my radar fro a long time till I had the opportunity to see their carefully selected and edited vintage pieces at Brighton Fashion Week and have the privilege to use their vintage hats for my New Vintage shoot last August.
Last but not least the fashion show and the magazine first issue will have a theme in common, but that's a surprise for now ;-)
