Il 2 marzo avranno luogo come ogni anno gli Oscars nella loro 86esima edizione e come fashion blog che si rispetti eecovi messi qui, tutti insieme, i nominati per la categoria migliori costumi. Lo scorso anno vinse Jaqueline Durran con Anna Karenina ambientato nel 1870. Chi la spuntera' quest'anno? Le decadi ed i film in lizza sono piu' varie che mai.
Dagli anni'20 di Gatsby ai '70 di 'American Hustle', passando per l'America rurale di fine '800 di '12 Anni Schiavo', l'Hong Kong degli anni '30 in 'The Grandmaster' per finire nell'Inghilterra vittoriana di Dickens nel film 'The Invisible Woman'.
Di questa cinquina ho visto solo Gatsby e American Hustle e non mi posso pronunciare quindi sugli altri tre, ma secondo me l'Oscar andra' ad uno di questi due. Dita incrociate!

On March the 2nd the annual Oscars will take place in their 86th edition and as a respectable fashion blog I've rounded up all together the nominees for Best Costume Design. Last year the Oscars went to Jaqueline Durran for Anna Karenina set in the 1870'. Who will win this year? The decades and the films in the runner up are realy, really different from each other.
We go from the '20 with Gatsby to the '70 of 'American Hustle', passing thtough rural America of the end of the 1800' with '12 years Slave', the Honk Kong of the '30 in 'The Grandmaster' and finishing with the Victoria England of Dickens of the 1850' with 'The Invisible Woman'.
Of the five of them I saw only Gatsby and American Hustle so I can't tell you much about the other three films but I've got the feeling that the Oscars is going to one of them two. Fingers crossed!
