Tie Break e' il nome della collezione FW14-15 di Giuliana Mancinelli Bonafaccia, ma io la rinominerei 'The Winner', vista l'aggiunta della sua prima linea di borse ai raffinatssimi, geometrici e concettuali gioielli a cui la designer romana ci ha abitati di stagione in stagione. Impossibile decidere tra le due linee; tanti vale arrendersi e ammirarle entrambe.
Con un timing perfetto Tie Break traduce il mood sport-luxe del momento in un accostamento di materiali e texture diverse: cordone, metallo, plexiglass, ottone bagnato in oro rosa e rutenio nero. Piramidi, cubi, frangie e una palette che va dall'antracite al tortora passando per il rosa, completano la collezione in cui c'e' solo l'imbarazzao della scelta: maxi bangles o polsiere? Necklace o ciondoli? Uno o due anelli? e gli orecchini?

Tie Break is the FW 14-15 collection of Giuliana Mancinelli Bonafaccia, but I'd call it 'The Winner', as her first ever collection of bags has been added to the beautifully crafted, geometric and conceptual jewels that to which she got us addicted season after season. It's an impossible task to decide between the two lines; we can't not surrender and let's admire them both.
With perfect timing Tie Break translate the sport luxe mood of the moment with combinations of materials and textures: cord, metal, plexiglass, brass bathed in rose gold or black ruthenium. Pyramids, cubes, fringes and a colour palette that ranges from anthracite-gray to taupe, passing through pink, complete the jewellery collection where choices are hard to make: maxi bangles or cuffs? Necklace or pendants? one or two rings? and what about earrings?
Come detto, Tie Break e' anche borse, a spalla o maxi clutch, in cui il mood sportivo continua, cosi' come l'accoppiata cordone+ottone, completata dall'elegante nabuk e dai colori intensi - nero, verde veronese e petrolio.
I gioielli di GMB hanno fatto capolino in passerella nella scorsa edizione di AltaRoma nella sfilata Quattromani; ora che anche le borse sono 'in gioco', c'e' solo da augurarsi ed aspettarsi, che il brand diventi protagonista a se stante ad AltaRoma in un futuro non lontano. Io ci conto!

As above, Tie Break is a line of bags too, on the shoulder or maxi clutch, whose sporty mood is reflected once more in the matching of cord+brass, completed with the elegance of nabuk skin and an intense colour palette - black, Verona-green and petroleum.The GMB jewels peeped out on the catwalk at the latest edition of AltaRoma for the Quatrromani fashion show; now that the bags are ' in the game', there's only to wish and wait for the brand to take centre stage at AltaRoma in a not-so -far future. I'm counting on that!
